Paverpol Canada paverpol.ca This is the fabric hardener that we use in the fibre sculpture workshop. Once dry and cured it can go outside in all weathers. There are local suppliers in each area and it isn't sold in retail stores that we know of. It doesn't ship in cold weather because cold exposure before curing damages it. ______________ |

  | TerraCycle terracycle.com/en-CA/ TerraCycle has free recycling programs and sells boxes for recycling items that can't be recycled or reused in your area. There are an assortment of boxes for different categories of items. We buy most frequently the box for recycling all types of plastic packaging. We are zero garbage already and hope to be zero recycling at some point, but in the meantime this is our solution. ______________ |

  | Trash Nothing trashnothing.com This site requires a sign up and combines local sources of free give aways. Post things to give away, request items you'd like to find, and/or search the current listing of available items and requests in your area. All things have to be free and safe. This is a fantastic source of things to repurpose for art projects and a great way to find a home for your own unwanted items. ______________ |

  | Tri-Art Sludge tri-art.ca/products/acrylic-mediums This is a product that can be bought at a number of places, but is listed because we like the product itself so much. It is a gesso that uses 100% recycled pigments and allows the reuse of a lot of the water used in the production of acrylic paints (the process uses a LOT of water). We've also used it in workshops as a environmentally friendly primer for wood and fabrics. ______________ |

  | Value Village valuevillage.ca Value Village is a for-profit company but they encourage reuse. Shopping in their stores doesn't support any nonprofit, but donating your reusable goods does. They pay nonprofits for your stuff, helping them fund programs in our communities. They have supported the creation of the "Broken Teacup Society" art program with donations of materials. The stores are well organized and full of inexpensive things that are treasure for repurposing. We find things like a left over box of flooring that isn't enough to use in a house, but it perfect for building miniture house sculptures. ______________ |
